But here it is reaching 304mph anyway. Raw, almost entirely uncut. The heat is on.

They did it! All they had to do was modify the engine, suspension and aerodynamics! What an extraordinary achievement for a, uh, totally stock* production car to achieve.

That’s why I went with a straw-man: at least we know that Michelin can cook up a 300mph-capable tyre. Now, the only question left is if the Jesko can supersede 304 on pure stock tune .
Plus, that Chiron’s probably the Super Sport version.

Not if Koenigsegg can get there first, or well ahead.

I’m just stoked a car, relatively street legal can make it to 300mph. This is good car stuff.

Technically s
treet legal cars have hit 300 before, the 300 mph standing mile Ford GT was street legal (somehow). And I’d wager some 300 mph Bonneville cars are as well.

The Chiron has really grown on me. I’m not sure when it happened, but I realized it’s one of my favorite—if not my favorite—current s upercar designs

In addition to the fact that it was modified and therefore not a production car record, it also needs to run both directions, which it didn’t do

Interesting now that the former lead designer at Bugatti was just hired on as director at Koenigsegg....

I’m pretty sure that they would sell you one if a suitably big pile of money would be presented. Most of the Bugattis are exclusive models produced in low numbers so I’m
pretty sure
that they wouldn’t
decline.

Oh yeah, I think the more the merrier. Silver state was great for watching big numbers. Not sure if they still do that race though.

Yep, Silver State is still a thing. In fact this year’s running is just over a week away
